1 Week Old!

Wow, this past week has flown by! I can't believe my girls are a week old! I can't believe these two little darlings came out of me! I can't believe I am a mom! It feels like Arya and Amiya have been here forever but it has only been seven days!
We came home on Saturday and things are going well. Arya and Amiya sleep great and eat so well. It hasn't been hard or even crazy yet. I hope it stays this way! Maybe its not all that hard since I have so much help from my parents and mother in law! :)

5th Wedding Anniversary :)

Today we are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary! Wow the past 5 years have gone by fast! We weren't sure if we would be going to Akhil's 20th high school reunion today or would we have our little girls in our arms on our 5th anniversary. We are so happy that Arya and Amiya are here and we can celebrate our anniversary with them in our arms!

Here we are on our anniversary with our girls.
I am holding Amiya and Akhil is holding Arya.
The three of us are scheduled to be released from the hospital tomorrow. What a long hospital stay! I have been here since Monday! But I opted to stay one more day just to get more rest because I know when I get home its going to get crazy!

Introducing Our Princesses!

Meet our two beautiful daughters Arya Ilena and Amiya Esha. Both angels were baking inside me for 8 1/2 months and are so perfect!

They were born on Tuesday, June 23, 2009!

Arya was born at 5:45 pm
Amiya was born at 5:58 pm

Both our little angels weighed exactly 4 lbs and 11 oz!

When they were born they were crying for each other and the moment they were placed in the same isolette they were so happy and began to suck each other's fingers!

In both pictures below left to right is Arya and Amiya.

Pregnancy - 36 Weeks

So I am 36 weeks now and still holding up well. I really want to get through this week of pregnancy because Akhil is doing his awful week of nights. It would not be fun if I went into labor while he is on his stretch of nights so we keep telling our baby girls to hang in there until 37 weeks!

Yesterday I had another doctors appointment and I am now only 2 cm dialated and 60% effaced. I was hoping I would be more dialated but I guess I am not since I have not been active. My doctor released me off of bedrest last week but I did not move around. I wanted Akhil to finish his week of nights before I start moving around. But now since I am only 2 cm dialated I am moving around a bit more so hopefully at our next doctors appointment they will send me to the hospital!

These are some pictures that my sister took of us!

Playroom...kinda bare

So here are some pictures of the living room turned playroom. We didn't furnish our living room because I wanted a place to put all of our kids toys. I didn't want them all over the house so we decided when we moved that this would be a playroom for a few years.

These are the crazy curtains I wanted so badly but Akhil refused to drive to Pittsburgh IKEA for just curtains. I ended up finding them on Craigslist from someone in Texas. Many people find my curtains hideous but I love them! I think they are a fun touch to the room!

Once again...the mobiles. The last of them hanging up!

All the awesome books and stuffed animals
that our girls got as gifts from friends and family!

This is the alphabet poster that I began working on in March and just finished a few weeks ago. I wanted to make a poster that had all the places Akhil and I visited so we can teach our girls their ABCs and also about the world. When I had the idea I was nervous because I am not an artist. But I thought I would just give it a shot and I really surprised myself by my skills! Some letters look horrible and others I love!

My Other Little Girl's Nursery!

The top little girl B's room is ready now. This room is nice and calming which I think she needs since she is a hyper one! My mom, sister, cousins Anita and Ashish, and my Aunt helped to get this room all ready after my shower. It was a huge help and I am so thankful they did it! It turned out super cute!!! ;)

I had another weekly doctors appointment this past Tuesday and I am now 1 cm dialated. The baby has dropped and my cervix has shortened. So our little girl (baby A) is making her journey now! My doctor doesn't think I will make it until 38 weeks but I am going to try my hardest to keep them in as long as possible! Akhil has a busy stretch of work in the next couple of weeks so I am hoping they don't come until it is over! He keeps telling them to stay in until he is done with his week of nights...I think they will listen!

Our PA Visitors

This weekend my aunt and uncle came from PA and brought my cutie neice and nephew - Gia & Dilan. My aunt and uncle were so sweet to make a special trip here just to see my belly before I have the babies! They were so helpful and getting everything all ready for the girls. I had a lot of fun playing with the kids!

Gia & Dilan insisted on helping and Gia had to use the screwdriver.
