Some Fun in July

Here are a few pictures of the past few weeks...

Amiya loves to run run run and when she runs, she falls. So I make her wear knee pads outside because her knees are so scraped up! Poor thing!
Here Ayra and Amiya are all dressed up and looking adorably pretty! We were leaving for our friend's Rakhee's bridal shower.
The girls love sidewalk chalk but don't like two things about it. 1- they have to sit on the concrete which they don't like. So notice Arya and squatting and Amiya is sitting on the kneeling pad I user when I plant flowers. 2 - they don't like that their hands get dirty
Amiya is looking very concerned about her dirty hands
Fourth of July!
We went to a friends party which the girls had a blast at
They had fun swimming in the little pool with all the other kids

Also in July, we went to Detroit to my cousin Sagar's wedding.
It was an outdoor wedding so the girls ran around in the grass during the ceremony.

Arya loves to dump cold water on her face when playing with the watertable.
Her reaction to it is so funny!

Arya & Amiya's Two2 Birthday Party!

My sweet little angel girls are TWO so what else could I do but have a 2Two party for them...get it??? 2Two - tutu - since they are turning two? ha! Am I clever or what? I am really not all that creative but it sure looked like I am since it all came together so cute! I actually surprised myself on how cute the entire party turned out.

I was deadset on having a little candy table so of course I had to dress it up with all the fixins! Candy, candy, and more candy! The week before the party I randomly found the cute white frames and quickly purchased them for the party. I originally didn't think about having their picture up but the white frames were too cute to pass up..and I had to show off the awesome pictures I took all on my own!
The night before we set up all the decorations. I hung each of those circle decorations up on my own which was the biggest pain. I thought I was going to fall off the chair and break my neck about 30 times. While I hung these circle decorations, Akhil spent 2 glorious hours untangling the balloons that he picked up from the store!

I definitely feel the need to brag that I made the cupcake stand and the cupcakes! I knew I wanted to make cupcakes for the party and wanted them to look like a bakery so I practiced quite a bit. Here is where I got the tutorial for the cupcake stand and here is the vanilla bean cupcake recipe.
These yummy mini cookies were perfect for all the kids to munch on
Y

Capes for the boys and tutu's for the girls

The chocolate mini cupcakes were so yummy too. I bought very good dutch process chocolate which made them taste perfect.

The girls made my mom get her arm painted before they did...they were quite weary of the painter!

A fun filled playroom

I got food from an awesome asian fusion restaurant which everyone was RAVING about!
Some of the party goers...we actually had 40 adults and 20 kids at the party!
Devouring their sweets!

Happy 2nd Birthday my sweet little girls!
