Wanna Cupcake?

Happy Halloween!

Tonight Arya and Amiya are going to dress up as cute lil cupcakes! I had a hard time deciding what the girls should be for Halloween and so I finally chose cupcakes because they are so cute and yummy! I didn't want their costumes to be the exact same so I bought slightly different sprinkles on the frosting!

Hopefully the weather holds up and it stops raining so the girls can visit a few neighbors tonight!

Here is Amiya all giddy in her costume!

The thing on top of her head is suppose to be a cherry. I think the costume looks better without it!

Arya is ready to trick or treat tonight!

We Can Sit on Our Bumbo Chair!

For the past few weeks the girls have been able to sit on their little bumbo chair! (I finally got a good picture of Arya in it) They both love sitting on it. As soon as I put them in it, they both loved it. At first they were a bit wobbly but now they have pretty good head support in it!

Visiting Masa & Masi in SF

Last week we went to San Francisco to visit Rachu and Arun. We all had a great time there! The girls were really good on the plane too. They both slept the entire flight. Also, it was nice we had the whole row to ourselves on the plane. We bought one seat so Amiya can sit in her carseat and then we lapped Arya. It would have been too much if we had both of them on our laps the entire flight. The flight wasn't very full so they were so nice and shuffled some people around so we were able to have the 3 seats we purchased and the 2 across the isle (both ways on our flight!) So this worked out great! It gave us plenty of spacious room! I watched over Amiya on one side and Akhil took care of Arya on the other side of the isle.

Since Rachu and Arun live in the city it was awesome to be able to walk around and go get brunch everyday. The weather was great so we took the girls out daily for a few hours and they loved it! One day I took Amiya to mommy and baby yoga class. She had so much fun! She was cranking her neck all around to see everyone...it was so cute!

They didn't have a hardtime adjusting to pacific time. We modified their schedule to California time and they just jumped right on which was great!

We also went to a very cute pumpkin patch in Pataluma. Here are a few pictures from the patch!

Our Little Finger Suckers

Here are our little finger suckers! As I said before, Amiya has always been a thumb sucker but was never able to put her thumb in her mouth on her own so we always had to help her out. She finally had the coordination to do it on her own at the beginning of 3 months old.

Within days of Amiya being able to put her thumb in her mouth on her own, all the sudden Arya began to suck her fingers. She never was a finger sucker before but she discovered her fingers and thought it was much easier to suck her fingers than to cry for a pacifier!

Thankfully both of my girls are finger suckers...NO MORE PACIFIERS TO WASH! One less thing to wash makes my life easier!

Amiya

This is a really bad picture but last week I fed both girls before they were to go to bed. I put them both down vertically on the blanket. I walked away for about 5 minutes and came back and Arya moved horizonally and snuggled her head up to Amiya. They both were lovin the snuggling so I had to take a picture!

Fall Fun!

Here are some fall pictures that we took in the past couple of weeks. Living in Ohio we have such beautiful fall weather, I really wanted to capture the girls in their fall gear with the beautiful leaves!

Arya

Amiya is very "texture sensitive" and hated these leaves!

Update...

Arya and Amiya are doing well and getting adjusted to making daily outings. I take them to the library for reading time, Gymboree classes, and to the gym. They are pretty easy to go places with so it is not hard. They now don't scream when they are put into their carseats because they know that they are going somewhere!

Last weekend Akhil and I went to Toronto for a little get away. We missed Arya & Amiya terribly and talked about them the entire time but we had fun shopping and eating out. My parents had a ton of fun watching the girls for the weekend! The moment we came home Arya started screaming crying because I think she was mad we left! haha!

My sister, Rachna was here visiting us while Akhil once again was on his torturous week of nights. (thankfully he only has one more week of nights left for the rest of his life..i hope) So she came out to give me a hand with the girls. We had a fun week of sister-sister time with the girls!

Here are a bunch of pictures Rachna took when she was visiting. We had fun doing a photo session with them. Arya is a total ham for the camera! She loves getting her picture taken!
