Manual Labor

Sofa Story:
Last night I sold 2 sofas on Criag's List that we have sitting in our office (Akhil's bachelor black leather sofa) and guest bedroom (my old tan sofa). Akhil tried his best not to be home when they show up to take the couches. I made him be home because I didn't want to help the people lift the stupid things out of the house. Well needless to say Akhil had to help the guy carry the sofas out of the house and load them into the van. He was not very happy. As soon as they got the couch in the van, Akhil went in the house and closed the garage door on these people! They were in our driveway for another 20 minutes situating the couch and he was laughing inside! So Akhil says he had a bad day yesterday because he had to do manual labor during his evening off and also because he forgot his wallet at home when leaving for work.

Wallet Story:
I asked Akhil on my way out yesterday morning if he wanted to take leftover pizza for lunch. He said yes. If I don't leave his lunch on the counter he forgets it. So I put the pizza on top of his wallet. He took his keys, phone, pager, wedding ring, and could not find his wallet for the life of him. He didn't think of picking up the pizza. So he left the pizza and his wallet on the counter all day long. He called me at work and asked me what did I do with his wallet. So Akhil had to borrow money from his partner for Starbucks and lunch yesterday. Bad day for Akhil. Of course I made fun of him. :o)

Merry Christmas!

Akhil and I had Christmas at our house yesterday. We drank cherry/pomegrante martinis (i saw them on oprah w/ rachel ray last week) and we ate yummy food. Mom, Dad, Minal Auntie, & Dinu Uncle showed us pictures from their trip to Eygpt. They told us many stories about all the fun they had there! It was a nice and relaxing Christmas.

My yummy martinis!

This is us. We look short.

Dilan and Gia - cutest kids!

Last weekend we visited Dilan and Gia in Philly. Akhil says that Dilan wins cutest kid of the year award!!! We had tons of fun with Kunal, Anita, Dilan, & Gia! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Dilan - 4 years old and so much fun! !

Gia- 4 months old and so beautiful

HOHOHO, What Do You Want for Christmas???

Yesterday I was packing up our office and I was getting nostalgic going through our photo albums. Surprisingly I found this picture of Akhil from 2003. I don't even remember this moment but I guess I was there since I snapped this picture. I could not stop laughing when I saw this! Sorry the picture is fuzzy...I did my famous "take a picture of a picture" since our scanner is packed away already.

Merry Christmas from Santa and Akhil!

Crusty the Clown

This past weekend we went to the EOPC (Youngstown group) Holiday Party. Every year Sandy (the office manager) gives the docs gag gifts for Christmas at the party. Back in 2004, I told Akhil that for Dilan's first birthday party he was assigned to be the clown for all the kids. I told him I was assigned to the craft table and he was to be the clown! He was really annoyed about it and said he wasn't going to do it. I forgot all about it thought he forgot about it too. I also though he knew that I was kidding.

Weeks and weeks went by and at work everyday he would complain to his office people that he is not looking forward to going to the birthday party and was SUPER mad about being a clown. He didn't want to do tricks, blow up balloons, and have kids crawling all over him!!! Everyone in his office would make fun of him and stuff. Well the birthday party day came and he asked about putting on the clown outfit and I didn't even remember that I told him a month ago that he would be the clown! He was happy to find out he is no longer the clown. Well for that Christmas that year Sandy gave Akhil this clown thing and made him wear it at the party! He was not happy as you can see....

Well Christmas Party of 2007 this picture resurfaced! We completely forgot about this entire clown incident. Every year at the Christmas party we do the White Elephant gift exchange. Sandy decided to blow up the picture, wrap it up, and put it in the gift pile. Everyone in the office, including me knew about this picture being the gift pile. Someone's spouse opens the gift and was very confused by the clown guy. Akhil was sitting next to me and I looked at him and he was also confused. Everyone busted out laughing and pointing at Akhil!!!! (mind you there are about 75 people at this party and they ALL were hysterical!). This clown picture was the hot gift of the party and was passed around quite a bit! I have a feeling the person who ended up with it, will resurface it next year and it will be the hot gift for years!!!

$500,000 Ferrari!

Here is a $500,000 Limited Edition Ferrari that was sitting in front of our hotel in Miami last week. The engine was in the trunk of the car. It was very sleek and totally Christian Troy - Nip/Tuck style. Akhil wishes we could sell every single thing we have to live in this car. Yeah Right!!!! The car sat there all day long on Ocean Ave. We never saw anyone get into it. I was hoping to see someone famous. :0(

Updated House Picture

Here is a picture of our house that I took yesterday. The exterior is completely finished! They did the stucco by the front door in a color that I don't think we picked. We drove to the house and both were silent for a few seconds...thinking uhhh that's not the color on the brochure. Oh well, I guess we are stuck. The color we thought we picked was a dark tan. But now that we are thinking, we really wanted the front doors to stand out (the color in the picture is not the color it will be - that is a base paint).

Here is a picture of the kitchen with the drywall finished. My camera got all jacked up so it looks like it is snowing in the kitchen, but its not. :)

Our Christmas Tree

Here is our Christmas Tree that I put up a few weeks ago. Akhil was happy because he didn't have to help. His only assignment was to bring the tree box up from the basement. So I decorated the house when he went to work. As he says, he came home to the North Pole that day. :o)

OSU vs LSU - 4 weeks to go!

So we are now all set to go to New Orleans on January 4, 2008 for the OSU vs. LSU National Championship game! Akhil is really excited for the game. I am excited to visit New Orleans since I have never been there. Luckily I got out of going to the game because I'd much rather watch it at home for free. Akhil is going Friday thru Tuesday and I will be there for just the weekend. We are going with a few friends so I will have fun shopping, eating, and partying!

Hopefully we will have another championship on our hands. Otherwise it will be ANOTHER bad year for Akhil..boohoo.

Happy Akhil when OSU is winning....

Worried Akhil when they are losing...

Go O-H-I-O!

Flinstones

Here are the halloween costumes I ordered for us to dress up. Akhil was very excited about being BamBam until Rachu and Arun made fun of us. My whole plan was for us to be Pebbles and BamBam and Rachu /Arun to be Fred and Wilma. They refused to order costumes, so I was sadly disappointed on Halloween. :o( I left our costumes at their house so next year they will be FORCED to wear them!
