8 Months Old!

So my little girls are 8 months now! Wow! They are so much fun and make me laugh all the time! They both love their little sippy cup with water. I use it as a treat when they finish their bottles. If I give the sippy cup to one of them and not the other, they really get worked up! At first I thought they loved water but now I have realized that they just love the cup. They love to play with it and put it in and out of their mouth.

Amiya is getting on all fours and rocking back and forth. She does this a lot in her crib especially when she is mad that she has to take a nap! I have been working on sign language since they were born and now Amiya is starting to sign back to me which is really neat! Amiya loves to eat solids, last month she tried a few new foods – zucchini, carrots, green beans, and yogurt. She loves everything but still hates bananas just like me!

Arya is sitting up extremely well! She still hates if she “accidentally” rolls over when reaching for a toy. She will cry like crazy! She is a little tougher to feed food to..I am not sure if I know what she does or does not like. She still screams and cries the moment she sees the spoon coming towards her. I just keep telling her the wider she opens her mouth to scream the eaiser she is making it for me to get the spoon in her mouth! The one thing she still loves is cheese - just like her daddy.

They both love to say dada all the time. Now they both know Akhil is dada because when he walks in the room they go crazy saying dada. They don’t say mama much but I guess they are saving best for last, right?

Amiya weighs 14 lbs and Arya weighs in now at 15 lbs 6 oz.

So here are my girls...this was the best picture that I could get of the both of them. Here Amiya is smiling while she is pulling Arya's ear...as you see Arya is screaming crying!

The Monkey & The Bear

Before the girls were born Rachu bought these cards for Arya & Amiya to look at in their crib. These cards have been hanging here for months and Amiya loves to talks to them all the time. She has become good friends with her little animal cards. I put Amiya down in her crib to nap and of course she began to talk to her friends. So Rachu put Arya right next to her and they both were looking at their friends. Its very ironic they both were looking at their little nicknames that we call them. Arya is our little bear because she is loud and roars like a bear all the time. Amiya is our monkey because she is all over the place. She does not keep still!

So here are sisters enjoying a naptime conversation with their pals!

Shortly after this fine moment, Amiya decided to attack Arya and pull as much hair out and try to pull out her ear as well! To say the least we had one roaring mad Arya bear! I guess Amiya was getting her back...Arya is usually pulling Amiya's hair - Amiya takes it and never gets her back!

My Lil Valentines

Today I am having fun with my little cupids. We all are just having a nice weekend hanging out with Arya & Amiya. Rachna is visting for the next couple of weeks so we are having a great time with her. My parents came over today to celebrate their 36th wedding anniversary with us!

Since my sister is here, as usual she took beautiful Valentines Day pictures of Arya & Amiya. If you want to see more of her awesome work check out Rachna Photography!

Too bad I was dressed all frumpy so I didn't get my picture taken with the girls.

By the way little would you know from these pictures, that my two cuties are sick with a nasty chest cough, cold, fever, and enduring teething pains!

We Can Sit!

Arya and Amiya are now sitting up! They began to sit up late last week and now can play with so many more toys they have! I don't think they realize they are sitting up on their own yet. Now we have to lower their cribs so they don't jump out!

Visiting Cousins

Last week we went to DC to visit Akhil’s sisters. We had a great time there and Arya and Amiya had fun with their cousins. Arya gets so scared very easily with loud noises but she handled all the noise and craziness pretty well! When we got home, I thought she would be used to noise but running the blender or tearing foil resulting in covering of the ears and loud outbursts!

Here are Arya (is very tired and won't sit straight) and Amiya
with their cousins Aarav and Saranya.

Below are two random pictures...

Here the girls are chatting it up while I get their breakfast ready!
I always wonder what they talk about!

Here I came home from the gym and both girls were excited to see me. They both wanted me to hold them so this is how I manage to hold them both!
