I Survived...

Turns out I had a great time… but I missed Arya and Amiya more than anything! But I knew they would be better off at home then with us. Where were we? Turks and Caicos Island in the Caribbean!

Akhil was dead set on taking a vacation without the girls. I am fine with doing a weekend away but A WEEK????? That’s a little excessive but he was insistent on going away together for a week. After talking to some friends who have and have not left their kids for vacations…I told him I was not taking a vacation without the girls. Well one day he called and said "I booked it!"...I thought "Oh great, he gave in and we are taking the girls"...No he replied, its just us going! I was kicking and screaming for weeks coming up to the trip but Akhil was not going to take no for an answer! I knew the girls would be in good hands with my parents and mother-in-law but I still knew I would just miss them like crazy!

It definitely was nice to get away for a while and to be able to sleep in. Not to have to worry about feeding every three hours. Not to have to do laundry, clean and best of all NOT TO WASH A SINGLE BOTTLE. (you have no idea how much I hate washing bottles).

We worked out every single day, laid on the beach and read books, had yummy drinks and food...but every moment I kept missing my babies! I called Arya and Amiya 2 or 3 times a day which really was expensive but I didn't care!

(I must add that I really am not this huge...the wind was blowing my dress..honestly!)

Akhil knew that I would love to stay at a resort that is popular among the famous...so I was quite excited to see some famous people there. The only person who was staying at our hotel at the time was Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones. He is a really nice guy but you can tell his years of drug use have scarred his brain! :) I didn't get a picture with him because this resort isn't like that. Famous people come there because it is small (only 55 rooms) and people leave them alone. So I tried VERY hard not to be the annoying fan. (well actually...Akhil took away the camera whenever Keith was around because he would have been embarrassed if I asked for a picture!)

Here is an orchid which was all over the resort...they were growing off of trees which I never knew that is how they grow and live. That's probably why they always die in my hands. I don't have a tree in my house for them to grow on!

Akhil tried a popular water activity which you stand on the surf board with a kayak paddle and ride the waves. I got a good laugh watching him do this!

We were excited to find a conch shell on the beach

I am sooo delighted to be home now! The girls were so excited to see us...they haven't been fussing which I thought they would. I thought they would be mad that we left but they have been happy little babies! :)

Looks like you had an amazing sign. Clearly, you were missing your babies but I'm glad you enjoyed a week of being bottle-free and out of the cold! :)

Amazing time, not sign... I'm managing to forget my English!
