Pregnancy - 11 Weeks!

Today we had an ultrasound to see how our little peanuts are growing….I have been wondering what they look like and what they have been doing inside the womb and now I sorta know. They kick me, punch me, and sleep!!! It was so amazing to see them inside me! I could not believe that they are formed into babies now! Just 4 weeks ago, at the last ultrasound they were so small and shaped like a half circle.

I wasn’t a fan so much of this ultrasound lady I had. She had the monitor turned towards her so she could do her exam but I was unable to see anything. All I could see was the absolute amazement on Akhil’s face. His eyes lit up and he was smiling ear to ear! Then every so often he would shriek and say “oh my gosh…the little peanut is just launched himself with his legs from one side to the other side of the sac” or “look he's punching his arms”…meanwhile I could not see a thing. I asked her to turn the monitor towards me and she said she eventually will. EVENTUALLY!!! I am the one carrying these babies, I should see them before anyone else!


So after so much anticipation she FINALLY turned the monitor towards me and I was bewildered! I was amazed and my heart just melted! They fell asleep when she turned the monitor to me so I did not see them move but I was excited to see them sleeping!

I did take their video during the ultrasound. I originally wanted Akhil to do it but he couldn’t find my camera in my purse and was just too amazed to care about a video. So finally he got my camera out for me and I took the video.

You will see their heart beating a few seconds after the video starts. (Its the fuzz you see fluttering in the center of their body) Also after about 45 seconds there is a lot of shaking going on because she was trying to wake them up but they were sleepy and didn’t want to be bothered…so I never got to see them move. :)
